Bass River State Forest

Bass River State Forest is located in Tuckerton, New Jersey. At this State Forest, there are so many different activities for you and your family to do. If you wanted to spend the night and camp for a few days, that is a very fun and popular place to do so. Each campsite has a picnic table and a fire pit for a nice bonfire. There are also showers, laundry facilities, and flush toilets that are a walk-able distance from each of the camp sites. You have the option to stay at a normal campsite which allows you to have up to six campers, two tents, and two vehicles. This campsite costs $20-$25 per night. You could also stay at a group campsite which allows you to have up to 25 campers, which is $50 per night if you are a resident of the state and $100 if you are not. Bass River State Forest has a nice picnic area for you and your people to go eat throughout the day. There is a nice sheltered area and also includes a playground for the children. There are some fun hiking trails at Bass River State Forest as well. Most of the trails are between 1 and 3.2 miles long.
More fun activities at Bass River State Forest are at the lake! Swimming is available at the lake. There are lifeguards that are on duty so you and your family will be safe. The beach area has a changing area, restrooms, showers, a concession building that has refreshments available, and also a first-aid station. Floaties are not permitted in the swimming area, although life jackets are! Canoeing, Kayaking, and boating are also available at Bass River State Forest.
