Tuckerton, NJ was founded in 1699 and was designated as America's Third Port of Entry in colonial times. Today, the Village is home to the Tuckerton Seaport and Museum, which is dedicated to preserving the historical significance of the area located within walking distance of the J. D. Thompson Inn.
